Aluminium Mechanical Lugs
Also designated: Set-screw lugs · Screw-type cable lugs · Dual-rated Al/Cu lugs · Panel lugs · Box lugs
Machined aluminium lugs with a hex-socket set screw — the cable is clamped by tightening a screw, so no crimping tool is needed. Single, double and multi-barrel.

General
What this product is
A mechanical lug holds the cable with a set screw instead of a crimp. The body is machined from high-strength aluminium alloy, the barrel is sized to the cable range, and the tongue is drilled for your bolt. Because one size accepts a range of cables, mechanical lugs are popular in panel boards, meter centres and switchgear where installers need fast, tool-light connections. We make single-barrel, double-barrel and multi-barrel versions, with one or two mounting holes, natural or tin plated.
Tell us the cable range (mm² or AWG / kcmil), the number of barrels and the bolt size. We quote the body size, screw and plating, and make a sample before production.
